Well, I started following you. My friend Zach had reached out to me, Voorhees, and he said, you got to see this girl's work. It's unbelievable. And I started looking into it and I was looking at you.
You make amazing videos, excellent production, excellent storytelling. But the darkness of it was so off the charts, everything that you would imagine would be evil out there.
So if you can just kind of bring us up to speed as to how you started digging into this, because you've been an investigative journalist, but this is a whole another thing that has now led to an FBI indictment.
So why don't you start with your experience?
Becca Spinks:
Yeah, well, I mean, it's weird to call myself an investigative journalist, honestly.
I got my start as a competitive shooter and firearms instructor and a self-defense instructor, which I've been for like 15 years probably or more.
And I decided one day to start streaming on the Twitch gaming platform so I could, I had a bunch of, a couple of friends in the gun communities that did like YouTube, Twitch, Twitch streams about guns and safety and stuff.
And so I was on my little gun tuber slash gamer girl arc. And, but I've also been a private investigator for a long time too.
And, uh, when I started to notice all of these, like, you know, horrific child predator networks on the internet, I was, as a mom, I was like, I can't believe I never knew this existed until I started to, you know, become an online creator.
And so, um, And more and more of my streams moved away from guns and gaming to like, what in the world is happening? And why is no one talking about this stuff? And that kind of led me down a rabbit hole that converged with terrorism, extremism, mass shootings.
And it turns out that, you know, these online harms are not just grooming your children for sexual exploitation, but they're grooming your kids become terrorists.If you have children or grandchildren, please watch and share this interview. Even if you don’t have children, watch and share it.
Our children are being targeted and attacked on so many levels. Online gaming is at the top of the list.
