High based thunderstorms with cumulus bases at 11,000 to 12,000 above ground level (AGL) formed along the east slopes of the Guadalupe and Sacramento mountains Tuesday afternoon. With dew point temperatures in the mid-upper 40's these thunderstorms weren't going to produce much rainfall. I did manage to capture a few cloud to ground lightning strikes with my GoPro Hero11 Black camera. With the bright desert sunlight in the background it was hard to get the stikes to pot on the video when I slowed it down.
