"They're all dead, and Ukraine has no real men left" - Scott Ritter | Redacted with Clayton Morris
Redacted July 18, 2023.
What will happen now that Ukraine has launched so many attacks on civilian infrastructure? Scott Ritter joins us to talk about Putin's next play and what it will cost Ukraine to "go slow" during the next stage of the counteroffensive.
A fascinating and terrifying interview by Clayton Morris with Scott Ritter. Watch the video to see the whole interview. Selected comments from Scott Ritter in the interview:
The Ukrainians are running out of men. Remember they started this conflict with a regular army of 260,000 men. Another 300,000 trained reserves, another 700,000 territorials. That’s 1.2 million people capable of being put under arms…they're gone.
They aren’t looking for young healthy men. They are looking for bodies to throw into this meat grinder. This meat grinder is a process to wear the Russians down. So they are just throwing body after body at the Russians. Understand that these aren’t well trained men…they are getting minimal training.
The casualties’ are mind boggling. Ukraine cannot win this war. For any number of reasons. The Ukrainians cannot even get into this fight. This is like a bunch of third graders who should be playing tough football or flag football walking into the super bowl challenging the defending super bowl champions. There is no chance whatsoever for these guys to win.
Ukraine is firing between one and seven thousand artillery rounds a day. We currently produce eighty five thousand rounds a year. So Ukraine will fire what we produce in a year in less than a month.
What we (the U.S.) has being doing to supply them is we have been stripping our stocks (used for our backup contingency plans for potential wars with us). What the Pentagon and the White House will not tell you is that if we go to war today we cannot win a single conflict. Wanna know why? We have no ammunition. Wanna know why? Because we gave it to the Ukrainians.
In the Gulf War we (the U.S.) fired sixty thousand artillery rounds. Russia fires sixty thousand rounds in one day in this conflict. The generals are now saying we made a mistake. The ammunition that we were supposed to have for a conflict that will last three or four months…we are going to run out of ammunition in seven days. If we get involved in a major conflict we are going to lose because we have no ammunition. This is why we need to go on a wartime footing.
The Russians are producing three point two million rounds a year. We produce eighty five thousand. The Russians are gearing up to produce even more because they understand what is going on. The Russians have built up an army that has expanded from nine hundred thousand to one point five million because of NATO expansion. They are in the process of putting a seventy thousand man strong core sized unit in the St. Petersburg area, a new military district, to oppose Finland.
Russia Has Destroyed 1/3 Of U.S. Supplied Armored Fighting Vehicles Sent To Ukraine
by Mac Slavo | Jul 17, 2023
According to media reports, Russia has destroyed about one-third of the armored fighting vehicles supplied to Ukraine by the United States. At least 34 Bradley tanks have been taken out of action during Kyiv’s counteroffensive.
The vaunted Bradley Fighting Vehicle (BFV), which was touted as a potential “game-changer” when the ruling class of the U.S. agreed to give dozens of the machines to Ukraine earlier this year, has reportedly had trouble staying in action amid fierce resistance from Russian forces during Kyiv’s counteroffensive, according to a report by RT.
The Bradley tanks “have now been visually confirmed as having been abandoned, damaged or destroyed,” Business Insider reported on Saturday, citing “open-source” data from military research firm Oryx. The U.S. has supplied as many as 109 BFVs to Ukraine, the outlet added, and they were first deployed on the battlefield in April.
‘We Are Facing The Entire NATO In Ukraine’: Kremlin Says, As UK Mulls Battle Tanks
When the rulers of the U.S., including Joe Biden agreed in January to send BFVs to Kyiv, the Pentagon touted the vehicles as “tank-killers” and claimed they would provide “a level of firepower and armor that will bring advantages on the battlefield.” US media outlets such as Newsweek cited military experts as saying the Bradleys “could become a game-changer,” potentially even enabling Ukraine to retake Crimea. Russian officials warned that the BFVs and other Western-supplied weaponry would “only prolong the suffering of the Ukrainian people.”
Just a few days ago, RT reported that the Ukrainian military lost 20% of the equipment it sent to the battlefield during the first two weeks of its counteroffensive. The New York Times reported that this high attrition rate was reportedly a key factor in Kyiv’s decision to pause the operation.
After Russia inflicted devastating damage to Kyiv’s U.S.-supplied fighting vehicles, Ukrainian units were forced to abandon their armored vehicles and advance slowly on foot, the Washington Post reported. “You can no longer do anything with just a tank with some armor because the minefield is too deep, and sooner or later, it will stop, and then it will be destroyed by concentrated fire,” Ukraine’s top general, Valery Zaluzhny, told the newspaper.
Putin: Ukraine’s Counter Ops Failing, 100+ Western Tanks Destroyed in July.
JACK MONTGOMERY July 17, 2023
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin claims over 100 Western tanks have been destroyed since early July as Ukraine’s ongoing counter-offensive struggles to make headway, with the embattled Russian leader claiming “All attempts by the enemy to break through our defenses – and this is their objective, which includes the use of strategic reserves – they have not been successful for the entire time of the offensive.”
Referring specifically to Ukrainian forces and their new Western tanks, Putin said 311 enemy tanks had been destroyed since July 4th, and that “at least a third of them were made in the West, including Leopards.”
He went so far as to claim the Ukrainians often refuse to man Western tanks, as they are “priority targets” for Russian forces – “and they burn just as well as all the others, in fact better than the Soviet T-72 tanks, for instance.”
While his claims are impossible to verify, pro-Ukrainian observers estimated as long ago as early June that around 15 percent of the American-made Bradley fighting vehicles and half the Leopard 2R tanks supplied to Ukraine had already been lost.
A total of 31 American-made M-1 Abrams tanks promised to Ukraine by Joe Biden in January are yet to materialize, though Ukraine insists it has gained some ground during the counter-offensive, while conceding progress has been slow.

The war in Ukraine has been raging for over five hundred days, with no end in sight. In the first year of the war, the U.S. Congress approved over $113 billion in aid for Ukraine.
To prepare for the “spring offensive,” President Joe Biden authorized another $675 million to help the Ukrainian military. After the military progress was halted by the Russians, Biden decided to send controversial cluster munitions to the Ukrainian military.
These munitions are banned by more than 100 nations because of the “large numbers of smaller bomblets that can kill indiscriminately over a wide area.” In many cases, the victims are innocent civilians.
This decision will inevitably lead to an escalation as Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed his country has a “stockpile of different kinds of cluster bombs.” He vowed, “if they are used against us, we reserve the right to take reciprocal action.”

As the war intensifies, there seems to be zero progress on the diplomatic front. However, we need to pursue peace talks immediately before a nuclear war starts.
President Donald Trump has been sounding the alarm about the irresponsible actions of the Biden administration in Ukraine. He posted on Truth Social, “Joe Biden should not be dragging us further toward World War III by sending cluster munitions to Ukraine—he should be trying to END the war and stop the horrific death and destruction being caused by an incompetent administration.”
Unfortunately, Biden is President, not Trump. The Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen reaffirmed the Biden administration strategy in a meeting with reporters at the G20 Financial Ministers Summit in India. Yellen said that aid to Ukraine was “the single best thing we can do for the global economy.”
Is she right? Is the continuation of the war “the single best thing” for the “global economy.” Of course not, the world does not benefit from the continuation of a brutal war. What is needed is the start of peace negotiations. The United States could broker such talks, but the Biden administration is uninterested.
Biden’s Cover-up War in Ukraine
Instead, Biden just authorized the activation of 3,000 military reservists to support our operations in Europe. After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Biden sent an additional 20,000 troops to Europe, bringing our total forces to over 100,000 on the continent.
These actions lead Central Intelligence Agency veteran Larry Johnson to conclude that “the United States is giving every indication that it is prepared to have a confrontation with Russia.” This strategy is extremely reckless considering that the Russians have the world’s largest stockpile of nuclear weapons, and the Ukrainians are having a challenging time providing enough manpower for their military operations.
According to the Hungarian newspaper Magyar Nemzet, “Many conscripted men are taken straight off the street by uniformed men….in Subcarpathia, a surveillance camera recorded the overreach of the authorities as a man trying to go to a store was kidnapped from his bicycle in broad daylight.” Many of these abductions have been recorded on video and posted on encrypted apps such as Telegram.
In response, some young men are refusing to leave their homes, hoping to avoid being sent to the front lines of the war. Others are avoiding forced conscription by bribing Ukrainian military recruitment officials. Many of these officials have become rich. In fact, one of them, Yevgeny Borisov, bought a luxury mansion on the Spanish coast and a chain of high-priced retail stores for his wife.
Sadly, corruption is rampant in Ukraine, which is why even supporters of our military assistance efforts, U.S. Senators John Kennedy (R-LA) and Krysten Sinema (I-AZ), wrote that “Americans lack a proper accounting of how our aid has worked thus far.” In their op-ed, the Senators also noted that “We’ve heard several unsettling reports of bad actors exploiting our generosity. Some of our costly weapons have ended up in black markets. And corrupt officials have tried to line their own pockets.”
Yes, the Senators are correct. Ukrainian officials such as Yevgeny Borisov and others have become wealthy from the war. Incredibly, weapons sent from Ukraine have been spotted in the hands of members of Mexican drug cartels.
This insane gravy train will continue until at least the end of the Biden administration. At a recent bilateral meeting in Lithuania, Biden boasted to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United States had “given more than every other nation combined in terms of assistance and cost.”
The Uniparty’s Abuse of Taxpayers’ Money
Why has the United States been so generous with our taxpayer funds when many wealthy European nations have barely contributed to the Ukrainian war effort? Biden did not receive the approval of the American people to fund the Ukraine military and government. In addition, there has been no declaration of war by the United States Congress.
At the same time, horrible problems in our country have been ignored by many of the political leaders of both parties. Former Vice President Mike Pence, who is a candidate for the GOP presidential nomination in 2024, wants an increase in military support to Ukraine.
Pence was recently scolded by Tucker Carlson at a presidential primary forum in Iowa. Carlson fumed, “You are distressed that the Ukrainians don’t have enough American tanks. Every city in the United States has become much worse over the past three years. Drive around. There is not one city that has gotten better in the United States, and it’s visible. Our economy has degraded, the suicide rate has jumped, public filth and disorder and crime have exponentially increased, and yet your concern is that the Ukrainians, a country most people can’t find on a map, who’ve received tens of billions of U.S. tax dollars, don’t have enough tanks.”
Rightfully Carlson asked him “Where’s the concern for the United States?” Incredibly, Pence claimed it was “not my concern.”
The top “concern” for every presidential candidate should be the United States, not Ukraine. As President Trump noted, we must stop the “insanity” in Ukraine and “return to a focus on America’s vital interests.”
Amen.
